NEC FC 0-3 Gaddafi FC: Kiirya Bags Brace As Soldier Boyz Hand NEC FC First Home Defeat
Gaddafi Football Club returned to their winning ways following a 3-0 victory over NEC Football Club at Omondi Stadium Lugogo on Wednesday evening.
Amose Kiirya bagged a magical brace while Ronald Bithum was on target to hand Kitara FC their first home defeat and the second defeat this season.
The visitors started the better side and got the opener through Kiirya who tapped in Steven Munguci’s brilliant delivery just 9 minutes from kickoff.
Ronald Bithum then doubled the lead in the 33rd minute as the Soldier Boys settled for a 2-0 lead in the first stanza.
After the break the hosts had opportunity to pull one back but missed through Abang Cromwell whose effort went wide.
Before Kiirya completed his own brace and the third for Gaddafi FC in the 58th minutes as the visitors held on to settle for a 3-0 win over NEC FC in the stoppage time.
Victory Gaddafi’s second this season, lifts them to them to the 10th place in the log standings with 6 points from 6 games while NEC FC remain in the 4th position with 12 points from 6 games.
Both teams are back in action on Saturday 11 November when NEC FC visit Maroons FC at Luzira Maximum Prison Ground while Gaddafi FC hosts Mbarara City at Gaddafi Barracks.
