Midfielder Gadafi Wahab Named In South Sudan Squad To Face São Tomé And Príncipe
The massive exodus of Ugandan-born footballers changing their nationality to play for South Sudan continues with the latest being midfielder Gadafi Wahab.
West Nile Province and NEC Football Club midfielder is the latest player that have earned a national call up to represent the Bright Stars.
This development comes after he was named among the 46-man squad to begin preparations ahead of the 2025 AFCON preliminary round qualifiers against São Tomé And Príncipe.
Gadafi Wahab now joins Atendele Geriaga, Toha Rashid, Anyama Richard and Gama William as other West Nile players summoned in the squad for the Bright Stars.
South Sudan is set to face São Tomé And Príncipe in the preliminary round games on March 2024 in Morocco with the return leg six days later in South Sudan.
