Rogers Okumu: Arua Hills SC Confirm First Signing For 2023/24

StarTimes Uganda Premier League entity Arua Hill Sports Club have confirmed their first signing for the 2023-24 campaign.

The Kongolo Boys have bolstered their squad with the arrival of versatile defender John Rogers.

Okumu joins the Leopards as free agent following the expiry of his contract with FUFA Big League entity Onduparaka Football Club.

The youngster has put pen to paper on a two-year employment deal that will see him remain at the club until 2025, the club confirmed on Friday.

“FREE agent 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝐑𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐎𝐤𝐮𝐦𝐮 joins us on 2 year deal. The aggressive 𝐑𝐨 is versatile, capable of playing across the backline and either flank,” reads club statement.

 Okumu is a former national U-17 player but he was not part of the final Cubs squad that represented Uganda in the 2019 AFCON tournament in Tanzania.

Arua Hill Sports Club are set to face URA FC in the FUFA Super 8 tournament on Tuesday 8th August in Lugazi.
