Wahab Bags A Brace As Resurgent Arua Hill Shred Express FC At Barifa Stadium
Arua Hill Sports Club completed a league double over Express Football Club with a 4-1 win in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League encounter played at Barifa stadium on Wednesday evening.
Wahab Gadaffi scored a magical brace while Rashid Kawawa and Innocent Media were all on target to hand the Kongolo Boys their 11th win this campaign. Anuar Ntege scored a consolation goal for the Red Eagles who suffered their 8th defeat this season.
The hosts started the better side and got the opener through Gadaffi Wahab’s brilliant header just 12 minutes from kick off.
Six minutes later Innocent Media thought he had doubled the lead for the Leopards but his goal was ruled out for offside.
Before Rashid Kawawa who missed a couple of games due to injury announced his arrival with a brilliant volley to make it 2-0 for Arua Hill SC in the 26 minutes.
Anuar Ntege pulled one back for the Red Eagles but that was not enough as Arua Hill SC took a 2-1 lead in the first stanza.
After the break, teenager Innocent Media got his name on the score sheet after finding the back of the net with a fine finish before Gadaffi Wahab completed his own brace and the fourth for Arua Hill SC with brilliant strike in the 75th minute as Arua Hill SC held on to register a 4-1 win over Express FC.
Victory elevates Arua Hill SC to the 4th position in the log standings on 37 points after 24 games while Express FC are in the 10th position on 30 points after 23 games.
Arua Hill SC are back in action on Wednesday 10th May as they visit BUL FC at FUFA Technical Center while Express FC host KCCA FC Saturday 13th May at Wankulukuku stadium in their next encounter.
