
KCCA FC 2-2 Onduparaka FC: Caterpillars Fight Back To Salvage A Point Against The Kassasiro Boys
Onduparaka Football Club faught back from two goals down to seal a 2-2 stalemate against Kampala City Council Authority Football Club in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League encounter played at MTN Omondi stadium Lugogo on Tuesday evening.
Emmanuel Okech and Boyi Fazillinoh cancelled out Moses Waiswa and Allan Okello’s goals for as both sides settled for a share of spoils.
Following a goalless first half, Moses Waiswa gave the hosts the lead in the 53 minutes as he scored from a free-kick when Mayanja was fouled.
Allan Okello then deoubled the lead for KCCA FC through a low strike past custodian Angufundiru Norman in the 64th minutes.
Six minutes later, the visitors missed a brilliant opportunity to pull one back through Nathan Oloro whose effort from a free kick hit the woodwork.
With just two minutes to the stoppage time, Emmanuel Oketch pulled one back for the Caterpillars after brilliantly curling past custodian Derrick Ochen for a 2-1 lead.
Before Boyi Fazilinoh levelled up matters for Onduparaka FC from a brilliant header off Denis Ojara’s delivery in the 90+1 minutes to ensure share of spoils as both sides settled for a 2-2 draw.
The draw leaves KCCA FC in the second position of the log standings on 44 points from 22 games while Onduparaka FC remain rooted at the bottom of the log on 14 points from 23 matches.
KCCA FC are back in action on 4th May when they visit Vipers Sports Club at St Mary’s stadium while Onduparaka FC host the same team (Vipers SC ) at AbaBet GreenLight stadium in their next encounter.
