FUFA Punishes Oloya And Two Other Match Officials For Poor Officiating In SUPL
The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has suspended three match officials for the remainder of the 2023/24 season for poor officiating in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.
The three match officials are ineligible to handle any game until the end of 2023/2024 StarTimes Uganda Premier League season.
Engineer William Oloya, Stephen Kimayo and Samuel Mbabali are the three referees that have been suspended.
FUFA said Kimayo (centre referee) and Mbabali (second assistant referee) are suspended for incorrect decisions made in the game between NEC FC and Kitara FC that was played at MTN-Omondi Stadium, Lugogo on 4th April 2024.
Meanwhile Engineer William Oloya has been suspended for his mistakes in the fixture between SC Villa and Mbarara City FC played on 30th March 2024 at Muteesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku.
“Three referees namely; William Oloya, Stephen Kimayo and Samuel Mbabali have been suspended for the reminder of the season (2023/24) by the FUFA Disciplinary Panel,” Reads a statement on FUFA’s x handle formerly Twitter.
“Kimayo (centre referee) and Mbabali (second assistant referee) have been suspended for incorrect decisions made in the game between NEC FC and Kitara FC played at MTN-Omondi Stadium, Lugogo on 4th April 2024.”
“Oloya on the other hand has been suspended for mistakes in the game between SC Villa and Mbarara City FC played on 30th March 2024 at Muteesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku.”
