Onduparaka FC Relegated From Uganda Premier League After Maroons Defeat
Onduparaka Football Club have officially been from the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.
This comes after suffering a 1-0 defeat to Maroons Football Club at Luzira Maximum Prison Play Ground on Tuesday evening.
The Caterpillars have endured a rotten season, the started with deduction of points and goals plus playing five games away and behind close doors.
With only two games left, Onduparaka FC can no longer finish any high than 13th place, It means the West Nile based entity will compete in the StarTimes FUFA Big League for the first time since 2016 when they got promoted to the top tier league.
It took Darius Ojok just 21 minutes to score the only goal of the clash and hand Maroons FC the much needed win.
Victory elevates Maroons FC to the 4th place in the log standings on 40 points after 26 games while relegated Onduparaka FC are dwellin at the foot of the table on 16 points from 25 games.
Both teams are back in action on Friday 19 May as Maroons visit Express FC at Wankulukuku stadium while Onduparaka FC host Blacks Power at AbaBet Greenlight stadium.
