Gabonese Referee To Officiate Uganda Vs Algeria AFCON Qualifier
Gabonese Referee Pierre Ghislain Atcho has been appointed to officiate the 2023 Africa Cup Of Nations Group F qualifier clash between Uganda and Algeria.
The Cranes will host Algeria in the fifth round of the 2023 AFCON qualifiers at the Japoma Stadium in Douala Cameroon on June 18th.
Ghislain Atcho, 30 will be assisted by Jerson Emiliano Dos Santos from Angola and Borris Marlaise Ditsoga from Gabon as the first and second assistant referees respectively.
Meanwhile Tanguy Patrice Mebiame also from Gabon will be the fourth official.
The highly respected referee was in charge of this year’s CHAN final between Senegal and Algeria that The Local Teranga Lions won 5-4 on penalties at the Nelson Mandela Stadium in Algiers.
Algeria currently lead Group F with 12 points followed by Tanzania with 4 points level to Uganda Cranes who are in the third and Niger sit at the bottom of the log on 2 points in 4 games.
