DONE DEAL: Vipers SC Sign Angolan Defender
Vipers Sports Club have announced the signing of Angolan defender Nzau Miguel Lutumba after he was finally cleared to the club following his January move.
Lutumba joined the Venoms on a free transfer after parting ways with Oman’s Professional League entity Muscat Club and has put pen to paper on a two-year employment deal that will keep him at St Mary’s stadium until 2025.
The 31-year-old star has been training with the Kitende based side for a month but didn’t feature for the club as he was still waiting for the right documents.
He has previously played for AFC Uttara in Bangladesh, Wiliet Sporting Club, Progresso and Sporting Club Cabinda all in Angola and most recently Muscat Club in Oman.
Lutumba adds to the defensive threats of the Venoms that already have Murushid Juuko, Hilary Mukundane, Bashir Asiku, Livingstone Mulondo and youngster Rogers Torach.
The Venoms also signed Karim Ndungwa, Martin Kizza, Isreal Desire Tety and Serge Robert Mwenge during the just concluded secondary transfer window.
The club currently sit in the third position in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League log standings on 27 points from 14 games.
