Onduparaka, Maroons Share Spoils In Front Of Ababet GreenLight Faithful
Onduparaka Football Club started life at home with a 2-2 draw against Maroons Football Club in the Startimes Uganda Premier League encounter played at Ababet Greenlight stadium in Arua City.
Oloro Nathan and substitute Abonga Dominic scored for the Caterpillars while Isaac Mpagi and Fred Amaku were on target for Maroons FC.
The match lived up to its billing right from the start as Onduparaka FC stormed out of the traps, racing into a 7th minute lead through Nathan Oloro after converting into the back of the net from a penalty kick after GadafI Gadinho was fouled inside the box.
Nine minutes later Maroons FC reorganized and levelled matters through Isaac Mpagi as both sides settled for 1-1 draw in the first stanza.
After the restart, Fred Amaku put the visitors ahead after curling home a beauty past Caterpillars’ custodian Mathias Muwanga for a 2-1 lead in 65th minute.
However substitute Abonga Dominic ensured points are shared after levelling up at the stroke of the stoppage time to settle for a 2-2 draw.
The draw means Onduparaka FC remain dwelling at the feet of the table with 3 points from 12 matches while Maroons FC are in the 9th place of the log with 14 points from 12 games.
Both teams are back in action on Friday 16th December as Onduparaka FC visit Blacks Power at Akibua stadium while Maroons host Express FC at Luzira Prison Grounds.
