Vipers SC Discover CAF CL Group Opponents

StarTimes Uganda Premier League champions Vipers Sports Club have discovered their CAF Champions League group stage opponents.

The draw for the 2022/23 CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup group stages took place on Monday 12th December in the Confederation of African Football HQ in 6th of October City, Egypt.

The Venoms have been thrown into Group C of the CAF CL ahead of their debut appearence in the group stage of this tournament.

Vipers will face Moroccan outfit Raja Casablanca, Horoya AC from Guinea and Simba SC of Tanzania.

To reach this stage Roberto Oliviera’s guns eliminated Olympic Real De Bangui and TP Mazembe at the preliminary and first rounds respectively.

The group stage matches will be played from February 12 to April 2 next year.

Group A: Wydad Casablanca (Morocco), Atletico Petroleos (Angola), JS Kabylie (Algeria) and AS Vita (Democratic Republic of Congo).

Group B:  Al Ahly (Egypt), Mamelodi Sundowns (South Africa), Al Hilal (Sudan) and Cotton Sport (Cameroon).

Group C: Vipers SC (Uganda), Raja Casablanca (Morocco), Horoya AC (Guinea) and Simba SC (Tanzania).

Group D: Esperance De Tunis (Tunisia), Zamalek (Egypt), CR Belouizdad (Algeria) and Al Merrikh (Sudan).
