
Ex-Onduparaka FC And UPDF FC Defender Set To Join SC Villa
Former Onduparaka FC and UPDF FC defender Najib Tusaba has found a new home at Sports Club Villa.
The Jogoos have reached an agreement to secure the services of defender Najib Tusaba Gwaido ahead of the upcoming season.
Tusaba was released by Mbarara City upon the expiry of his employment deal and as reported by Swift Sports, the defender has inked a two-year contract with the Jogoos.
He has previously played for Jinja based side BUL FC, Kansai Plascon (now defunct), Onduparaka, and UPDF FC and Mbarara City FC.
Last season SC Villa finished in the 12th position of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League table standings with 33 points from 30 matches.
Ahead Of The 2022/23 campaign the club has already confirmed Mutesa II stadium (Wankulukuku) as their new home after initially using FUFA Technical Center, Njeru as their home base last season.
The 16-time Uganda Premier League champions have been homeless after the demolition of Villa Park to pave way for the construction of the Kampala flyover project.
