
BACK IN TURKEY: Uganda Cranes Star Joins Turkish Side Çaykur Rizespor
Turkish Super League side Çaykur Rizespor have signed Uganda Cranes international Farouk Miya.
Farouk Miya joins Karadeniz Atmacası on a two-year employment contract that will keep him at Yeni Rize Şehir Stadium until 2024.
This development was confirmed on Wednesday evening via the club’s official website.
“Welcome Farouk Miya. Our Çaykur Rizespor has tied Farouk Miya to their colors,” reads part of club statement.
“The 24-year-old Ugandan football player signed the green-blue color scheme for 2 years.”
This will be the second Turkish side that Miya will play for after a stint with Konyaspor.
The attacking midfieder has been clubless since his unfortunate departure from Ukraine side Lviv FC due to war with Russia.
