Leku On Target As Arua Hill Take Revenge On Mbarara City
Arua Hill Sports Club gained revenge over Mbarara City Football Club after beating them 2-1 in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League encounter played at Barifa Stadium on a chilly Sunday evening.
Exactly six months to the day since losing 2-1 to Mbarara City at Kakyeka Stadium, Arua Hill SC got their revenge through Ivan Eyamu and Alfred Leku who scored in the 31 and 84 minutes respectively.
Solomon Okwalinga scored a consolation goal for Mbarara City through a penalty-kick in the 25th minute.
Victory means Arua Hill SC leapfrogged Express FC to 5th place of the log with 46 points from 27 points while Mbarara City FC are dwelling in the 2nd place from the bottom of the log with 22 points from 27 matches.
Both teams are back in action this coming week, with Arua Hill SC challenging Onduparaka FC at Ababet GreenLight Stadium in the second Arua City derby. Meanwhile Mbarara City host UPDF FC at Kakyeka Stadium on Sunday, 8 May.
