
SUC WRAP: KITARA, NDEJJE, BUSOGA & LUWEERO ADVANCE TO THE LAST 32
There were four Stanbic Uganda Cup round 64 matches played on Friday afternoon with four teams advancing to the next round.
FUFA Big league entity Kitara FC defeated Kampala regional side Kireka Young 5-3 on penalties following a 1-1 draw at MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.
Peter Lumoro opened the lead for Kitara FC with 3 minutes left to the break.
However Paul Kibandwa equalized for Kireka Young at the stroke of the break and the match ended in a 1-1 draw in the normal time.
Richard Enjama, John Stuart Mwesigw, Peter Lumoro and Captain Maxwell Owachigiu all scored for Kitara FC who booked a place in the last 32.
Derrick Segawa, Tonny Kiberu, and Paul Kibandwa all scored for Kireka Young while Juma Inkyimana missed for the hosts who bowed out of the campaign.
Meanwhile, Ndejje University FC secured a 2-1 win over SC Tawai in a game which was played at Angwechibange play ground.
Ayabare Josephat and Junior Ainamani scored in either halves of the encounter to ensure Ndejje University progress to the last 32 while SC Tawai who pulled one back in the first half bowed out of the campaign.
