Onduparaka FC will make a return to the Uganda Cup for the first time since being eliminated in last season’s competition by SC.Villa.
The Westnile Giants who lost the above mentioned game by an aggregate of 1-o, face Paidah based side Paidah United at the Barokoro grounds on sunday afternoon.
After a squad overhaul in the off-season, Onduparaka have not been impressive to the start of the current campaign in the StarTimes Uganda premier league and are aiming to go past lower league paidah United.
They have drawn six( 6) of their opening 15 games and lost five( 5) and won three (3). As a consequence, they sit at unexpected 13th on the StarTimes Uganda Premier League table with 13points, 12 positions behind leaders KCCA FC with 31pionts
Meanwhile for Paidah United, they sit three division lower than onduparaka FC and are yet to kick-off their league campaign for this season.
The Team is boosted by the three new signings which includes Pithua Floribert,
Omirambe Gaya and the return of Othuba Van Joshua to club from Paidah Black Angeles in the January Transfer window.
The three new signings according to the club CEO will bolster the Team once FUFA licensed them timely ahead of Onduparaka clash on Sunday .
CEO Paidah United, Orombi Robert told Dribber Sportz that they cruised through the qualification phase of the cup in westnile region, dispatching series of clubs to reach this level and above all in an attempt to prepare for the game we played series of friendlies with clubs to give the boys momentum to face Uganda premier league material Onduparaka fc.
This will be the first meeting between the two sides.
A total of UGX 179M has been set aside as cash prize:

Runners Up – Shs25 million,
Semifinalists – Shs 12 million,
Quarterfinalists – Shs 6 million,
Round of 16 – Shs3 million
And Round of 32 – Shs2 million.
