Vianey Sekajugo Injury: URA FC Forward Released From Hospital After Collision With Atendele
Uganda Revenue Authority Football Club forward Vianey Sekajugo has been released from hospital after sustaining a terrifying collision.
Sekajugo needed to be taken off the field on a stretcher after colliding with Arua Hill SC defender Atendele Geriga during Sunday’s StarTimes Uganda Premier League encounter.
The forward was immediately rushed to Rhema hospital where he spent a night in Arua under total monitoring by doctors of Rhema Hospital plus the clubs own doctor Joseph Lubega as the rest of the teams travelled back to Kampala.
The Tax Collectors announced on Monday that he was released from the hospital in the morning and has travelled back to Kampala where he will be monitored by the club’s medical team.
“Vianey Sekajugo has been discharged from Rhema hospital in Arua and has safely returned home in Kampala. He will however remain under monitoring by our medical team. We thank the medical team of Arua Hill Sports Club together with our medical team as well as Rhema hospital for all the efforts during that tricky time,” the club wrote on Twitter.
It’s still unclear when he will be able to return to training, much less an actual game, but the fact that he was out of the hospital in less than 24 hours is positive news and as Dribbler Sports we would like to wish Vianey Sekajugo a very speedy recovery.
