
SC Villa close gap on leaders KCCA FC with a narrow win over BUL FC

SC Villa managed a 1-0 home victory over BUL FC to close gap on table leaders KCCA FC.
David Owori scored the only goal of the match at Akibua memorial stadium on Tuesday 21st March.
Owori’s goal came 38 minutes played in the first half from Joseph Katumba cross.
This was SC Villa’s last match at Akibua memorial stadium. It should be remembered that FUFA handed SC Villa a five match ban not playing at their home ground.
The Jogoos were also to choose a play ground to host the five games out of Kampala, Buganda and Eastern regions.
They have only lost one of the five games they have played in Lira. This came against KCCA FC, 3-0.
They have won the remaining four against Onduparaka Fc 2-1, Maroons Fc 1-0, UPDF FC 2-0 and Blacks Power Fc 1-0.
Victory over BUL FC takes SC Villa to 31 points after 17 matches 2nd on the table, four bellow table leaders KCCA FC who have a match at hand.
For BUL FC, this was the second game for Semeon Masaba as the interim head coach of the Jinja giants.
The the first was a 1-0 over Onduparaka Fc away in Arua city, thanks to Martin Aprem late goal.
They remain 3rd on the log with 29 points from 17 matches.
SC Villa will travel to Busoga United on 31st March for their next fixture while BUL FC will be at home hosting Wakiso Giants Fc on 30th of the same month.
