
FUFA HITS AGAIN As Blacks Power Fined 1M UGX And Chastised For Fans Hooliganism
The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) is taking every step to reduce fans hooliganism during the on-going StarTimes Uganda Premier League.
The lastest club been fined and docked points for their fans misbehavior is Lira based UPL side Blacks Power Football Club.
Hussein Mbalangu’s charges have been been fined for misconduct and warned in regards to the encounter against Vipers Sports Club where they lost 1-0 at Aki Bua Stadium last week.
Blacks Power have been ordered to pay a fine of one million shillings (1,000,000 UGX) and will be deducted two points and two goals from the already accumulated points.
A statement from FUFA’s official Facebook Page reads: “Decision of the FUFA Competitions Disciplinary Panel at FUFA House, Mengo on 18th November 2022 in the case of Blacks Power FC regarding acts of hooliganism.”
“The club has been sanctioned for breaching Article 31 of the FUFA Competitions Rules during the SUPL Match No: 49 Blacks power FC vs Vipers SC match that was played on Friday 11th November 2022 at Akibua memorial stadium-Lira.”
“A suspended two points and two goals deduction which shall be automatically deducted from those that the club shall have accumulated should the actions of hooliganism occur again.”
“A cash fine of UGX 1,000,000 (Uganda Shillings One Million) to be paid into the FUFA bank account and bring proof of payment of the same to the committee. The fine is to be paid within fifteen (15) days from receipt of this decision that is by 3rd December 2022.”
“The club is directed to keep its fans in order as stated in Article 31(10)(F)(III) to stop putting the game of football into disrepute.”
“Should the club fail to heed to the sanction above, the CDP shall be constrained to take stringent disciplinary measures against it.”
The Lira based entity has only registered one victory and are back in action on Monday 28th November as they host UPDF FC at Aki Bua Stadium in Lira City.
