BUL FC 0-0 Future FC: Eastern Gaints, Future FC Share Spoils In CAF Confederation Cup First Round
BUL Football Club opened their CAF Confederation Cup campaign with a goalless draw against Egypt’s Future FC at the St Mary’s Stadium on Saturday evening.
The hosts started the brighter side and missed an opportunity to break the deadlock when Ngobi Pascal was fouled outside the box in the 2nd minute of kickoff but Ibrahim Kazindula failed to find the back of the net from the resultant free-kick as he was denied by Future FC custodian Mahmoud Ahmed.
Hillary Onek could have put the Eastern Gaints ahead but his effort went wide in the 5th minute.
The Egyptians also had a chance to breakthrough but Mohamed Farouk’s effort from close range went wide in the 10th minute before Ahmed Atef’s bicycle kick was brilliantly saved by Bul Fc custodian Saidi Keni.
The score was goalless in the first stanza as both sides had minimal chances at goal.
After the break Bul Fc came close to an opener through Ismail Mugulusi whose long range strike was well taken by Mahmoud Ahmed before Kamal Sayed missed an opportunity for the visitors.
