
DONE DEAL: Maroons Confirm Latest Big Signing
Newly promoted StarTimes Uganda Premier League outfit Maroons Football Club have confirmed the signing of left wing back Frederick Kigozi ahead of the coming 2022/23 season
Kigozi joins the One Force Army on a two-year deal, with an option to extend for another season.
This development was announced on Wednesday evening via the club’s official social media sites.
“Maroons FC is delighted to announce the signing of left wing back Frederick Kigozi on a two year renewable contract, he previously featured for Bul FC,” the club announced on social media.
“Welcome Frederick Kigozi to the only Club that matters.”
Kigozi opened up about his move.
“Joining Maroons is a great opportunity to develop my career further more, the club is focused and there vision suites mine. It’s the team of the moment defined by the unique playing style which I will perfectly fit in,” Kigozi told maroonsfc.co.ug.
“The coaches already like me and my team mates are equally hospitable, i can’t wait to exbit my talent before the amazing fans, they should expect alot.”
The 26-year-old has previously featured for Kirinya-Jinja SS, BUL FC and Tooro United FC.
He turns into membership the 10th signing for Maroons FC after the arrivals of Isaac Mpagi, Lawrence Tezikya, David Ndihabwe, Brian Nkubi, Jacob Okao, Samson Kigozi, Arafat Kakonge, Noel Nassasira and Umar Kyebatala.
In a bid to bolster their squad, The club have already extended the contracts of midfieder Felix Keita Okot, goalkepeer Emmanuel Akol and defender Ceasar Sahni Olega and central midfielder Ronald Orombi.
