
Ambitious Dudu Bosco Sets Target For First Season As Calvary FC Boss
Calvary Football Club head coach Dudo Bosco has stated that securing a top spot in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League will be his main target during the 2022/23 FUFA Big League season.
The 43-year old CAF B licensed gaffer spoke to reporters for the first time since his appointment as the new head coach of the Horizone Stars on a two-year employment contract.
The former Onduparaka FC Technical Director is confident that the Yumbe based entity will make it to the top tier during his time at the helm.
“One most important thing that has happened now is I met the team, we discussed, we had a strategy and I have been given full powers to recruit my own technical team, to recruit my own players and that is the process that we are undertaking at the moment so I believe with the players and the technical team that I have plus the support of the management we’re going to archive the task ahead of us,” Dudu told reporters during a Press Conference at Hi-5 Lounge.
“So as a person who has been in the game for long I know Ugandan football from grassroots to the national team, I know Ugandan players from the youngest to the oldest so it’s going to be my duty to assemble the best team possible to take Calvery FC to the Premier League.”
“As the head coach we have agreed that the priority is to take the team to the Premier League, besides that we are suppose to establish a very strong youth teams, we are suppose to have an U-17 team that will participate in FUFA junior team, we are going have an U-14 team that will participate in the Academy tournament and we shall even have an U-11 team that will participate in any other tournament availed by Uganda Football Associations. So for now we’re going to handle the senior team, we’re pushing it to the Premier League and then we establish a very very strong Soccer Academy in Midigo,” he concluded
Meanwhile at the same event, the management of Calvary FC also confirmed that they have acquired a land for construction of a 20000 seater stadium.
According to the Club CEO Mr Anguzu Joseph the land that measures to the area of six acres is located at Yumbe district in Midigo Town Council and its meant for the construction of Calvary FC stadium that will be named as as “The Horizon Stars Arena” upon completion.
