ALAN MUGUME BOWLS IN AS UGANDA CRICKET ASSOCIATION NEW CEO.
The Uganda Cricket Association has on Friday Morning unveiled Economist Alan Mugume as their New CEO for the next three years.
Alan Mugume , a MBA holder from the university of Cape town, an Economist and Business consultant replaces Former Cricketer Martin Ondeko whose reign ended after about 13 years of Service in which his efforts have seen the Baby Cricket Cranes play at The ICC U- 19 CRICKET WORLD CUP and also improve the National Teams’ Rankings not to mention more.
The development comes at a time when the Cricket Cranes quest for an ODI STATUS is on the groove having topped the ICC CRICKET WORLD CUP CHALLENGE LEAGUE B after the second round played in Kampala recently.
On his maiden speech, Mugume said ; “ I am eager to use my skills and experience to take Uganda Cricket to the next level”.
Meanwhile the outgoing CEO Martin Ondeko regrets not having much in stock to grow clubs and also push the game to the Grassroots and this, perhaps, will be the New CEO’S Orientation tasks to kick-start his journey bearing in mind that Uganda attaining a ONE-DAY-INTERNATIONAL STATUS will be his KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATOR as stated by the Board Chairman, Michael Nuwagaba.
