
FULL VERDICT: Leo FC Demoted To 5th Division Over Use Of ‘Ineligible’ Player
Arua District Fourth Division Champions Leo Football Club have been demoted to the 5th Division League after being found guilty of using ineligible player.
Ceasor Okhuti’s guns were found guilty of fielding an ineligible player Orionzi Yofah during their Group Stage games against Pajobi and Nile Hippose that ended 2-0 and 3-1 respectively.
As a result a verdict by Disciplinary Committee of WestNile Region Football Associations was released demoting Leo FC to the 5th Division League and also charged a fine of 500,000 UGX incase the club is willing to participate in the 5th Division.
“Following a forgery of license of a player ORIONZI YOFAH during the Zonal League played in Arua, you hereby sanctioned using the FUFA competitions, reads part of the verdict by WNRFA.
“Article 33 Disciplinary Options subsection.
1. “20 A club proven guilty of doping or forgery or bribery or match-fing or any combination of this shall be demoted to the lower or maybe banned from subsequent FUFA Competitions for a specified persal”
“And Disruption of the Zonal lesque. Accordingly, the competitions committee demotes LEO FOOTBALL CLUB the 5dvision of
Arua-DFA, Incase LEO FC is willing to participate in the 5 div leagu, they shall pay 500,000GX as fine to WestNile Region Football Association before registration.”
Meanwhile Muni Soccer Club have also been fined 500,000 for disrupting the Nyaka Zonal mini league.
“Following Nyaka Zonal mini league in Arua. Muni Soccer Club was found practicing “Disruption of the league”
“Therefore, the competition committee has sanctioned a fine of 500,000UGX (Five hundred thousand shillings only) payable to West Nile Region Football Association before registration for the 2022/2023 4h division season.”
“Failure to fulfill the sanction means that the club is not ready to participate in 4th division.”
