AFCON 2023 Qualifiers: Uganda Cranes vs Niger Preview
Uganda Cranes and Niger will lock horns at St Mary’s Stadium for a clash in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The mouth-watering Group F AFCON qualifying clash gets underway on Wednesday 8 June 2023. Kick-off is at 15h00.
Both teams will be hoping to return to their winning ways and get their qualifying campaigns up and running after failing to register wins in their various openers last time out.
Milutin Sredojević Micho’s guns were beaten 2-0 by Algeria courtesy of goals in either side from Aïssa Mandi and Mohamed Youcef Belaïli on Saturday at 5 July Stadium in Algeria.
Meanwhile Jean-Michel Cavalli’s charges begun their qualifying campaign with a 1-1 draw against Tanzania as Daniel Sosah’s goal cancelled out George Mpole’s opener for Tanzania in Cotonou.

The last time the two teams meet it was a friendly match that ended 3-0 in favor of Uganda Cranes. However Uganda and Niger have met for seven times resulting in three Wins for both Uganda and Niger and a single draw.
