SUPL MD26 WRAP: Tooro United Relegated From Top-Tier League As Arua Hill & SC Villa Return To Winning Ways

There were wins for Sports Club Villa, UPDF FC and Arua Hill Sports Club during their various StarTimes Uganda Premier League Matchday26 actions played on Tuesday.

UPDF FC 1-0 Tooro United:

Tooro United Football Club became the first club to be relegated from the StarTimes Uganda Premier League after 1-0 defeat to Uganda Peoples Defense Force Football Club at Bombo Military Barracks Stadium.

Ivan Ahimbisibwe scored the only goal of the clash to hand the Army sides their 8th win of the season.

Victory puts UPDF FC in the 8th place of the log with 33 points after 26 games while Tooro United are rooted at the bottom of the log with 10 points after 26 games.

SC Villa 2-1 Mbarara City FC:

Elsewhere, Sports Club Villa took a huge step towards StarTimes Uganda Premier League survival after defeating Mbarara City FC 2-1 at FUFA Technical Center in Njeru.

Second-half goals from Ogwang and Sadam Masereka saw the Jogoos returned to their winning ways as they registered their 7th win of the season.

The result puts SC Villa in the 10th place of the log with 28 points after 26 games while Mbarara City are in the 2nd place from the bottom of the log with 22 points from 26 games.

Arua Hill SC 2-0 Busoga United FC:

Lastly Arua Hill SC returned to their winning ways after defeating Busoga United 2-0 at Barifa Stadium in Arua City.

Alfred Leku scored a magical brace as the Kongolo Boys completed a second victory over Busoga United.

Victory temporarily lifts Arua Hill SC to the 5th place of the log with 43 points from 26 games while Busoga United dropped to the 12th place of the log with 26 points from 26 games.
