BREAKING: UGANDA CRANES DISCOVER AFCON 2023 GROUP STAGE OPPONENTS
Uganda Cranes have discovered their opponents for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Milutin Sredojević Michu’s guns will be hoping to qualify for their first tournament since 2019 after failing to qualify for the 2021 edition that was hosted at Cameroon with Senegal emerging as the winner.
Uganda will lock horns alongside Algeria, Niger and Tanzania in Group F.
Champions Senegal have been drawn alongside Benin, Mozambique and Rwanda as they look towards the journey of retaining the crown they secured for the first time in their history in the 2021 showpiece.
Meanwhile hosts Ivory Coast will still participate but will compete in the biennial event irrespective of their position in Group H.
The tournament will be hosted in Cote d’Ivoire and is scheduled to get underway 23 June and will concluded on 23 July 2023.
The draw took place on Tuesday in Johannesburg, with Ex-Bafana skipper Lucas Radebe and former Ivory Coast striker Salomon Kalou conducting the draw.
