
SC Villa Crush Eagles 3-0 In A Rescheduled Round 64 Encounter
Sports Club Villa defeated Northern Uganda fourth division club Super Eagles 3-0 in a re-scheduled Stanbic Uganda Cup round 64 clash played at The Pece War Memorial stadium on Monday evening .
A first-half goal from Nicholas Kabonge and second half goals from Sadam Juma and Amir Kakomo saw the Jogoos crush away Super Eagles to progress to next round of the tournament.
Following a slow start, SC Villa regained possession and came close to breaking the deadlock through Nicholas Kabonge as his effort hit the woodwork in the 35 minutes.
Sekajja Davis and Ogwang Isaac both missed chances for the Jogoos in the 40 and 42 minutes respectively before Kabonge broke the deadlock at the stroke of the interval to hand SC Villa a 1-0 lead in the first-stanza.
Aftet the break Saddam Juma doubled the lead for Sports Club Villa from a spot kick in the 59th minutes for a 2-0 lead.
Substitute Amir Kakomo put the game to bed after adding the third at the stroke of the stoppage time to hand SC Villa a 3-0 win over Super Eagles.
The result means SC Villa progressed to round 32 of the Stanbic Uganda Cup and will face Express FC while Super Eagles bowed out of the show-piece.
The match winner between SC Villa and Express FC will join the 15 teams who have already qualified to the round 16 of the 2021/2022 Stanbic Uganda Cup.
