
Police Return To Winning Ways With A 4-2 Win Over Tooro United
Police FC returned to their winning ways after defeating Tooro United 4-2 in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League encounter played at Phillip Omondi Stadium on Tuesday afternoon.
First-half goals from Juma Balinya, Tony Mawejje and Marvin Oshaba plus a second half goal from Herman Wasswa saw Police FC registered their first win in the second round of the SUPL as they beat Tooro United 4-2.
Ronal Magwali and Hussein Mwannje scored in either halves of the clash for Tooro United as they were condemned to their 14th defeat of the season.
Juma Balinya put the Cops ahead after brilliantly striking home from the left wing for a 1-0 lead just 6 minutes from kickoff.
The visitors hit back in the 26th minute. Having built up a head of steam, the Roaring Lions equalised through Ronald Magwali who tapped home from a rebound to make it 1-1.
13 minutes later, Police reclaimed their lead through skipper Tony Mawejje as he headed home Ruben Kimera’s free-kick.

Marvin Oshaba opened his goal scoring account for Police FC after adding the third against his former employers Tooro United as Police FC took a 3-1 lead in the first half.
After the break Hussein Mwannje pulled a goal back through a penalty kick in the 60th minute for a 3-2 lead.
Three minutes to the stoppage time, Police added the 4th through Herman Wasswa who brilliantly slotted home to hand the Cops a 4-2 win over Tooro United FC.

Victory means Police remained in the 10th place of the log with 21 points from 19 games while Tooro United are dwelling at the bottom of the log with 9 points from 19 matches.
Both teams are back in action on Friday 11th March 2022 as Police FC visit Busoga United at Kakindu Municipal Stadium while Tooro United FC face Vipers SC at St Mary’s stadium.
