
Kawawa Bags First UPL Hat-trick For Arua Hill To Beat Wakiso Gaints 4-2 In Arua
Rashid Kawawa “Olu” scored the first UPL hat-trick for Arua Hill SC as they return to winning ways with a 4-2 win over Wakiso Gaints FC at Barifa Stadium in Arua
A first half hat-trick from Rashid Kawawa Safi “Olu” and a goal from Alfred Leku handed the Kongolo Boys a double over Wakiso Gaints.
Titus Ssematimba and Sam Ssenyonjo scored consolation goals for the Purple Sharks who were condemned to the their 8th defeat of the season.
Arua Hill SC started the better side and eventually broke the deadlock through Rashid Kawawa who headed home Samuel Ssekamate’s delivery just 4 minutes from kickoff.
Moments later Alfred Leku added the second before Rashid Kawawa completed his own brace and the third for Arua Hill SC just 14 minutes from kickoff for 3-0 lead.
Kawawa then sealed his own hat-trick and the fourth for for the hosts to settle for a 4-0 lead at the interval. This is the first hat-trick for Arua Hill SC since joining the top-tier league.

After the break the visitors regained possession and eventually pulled a goal back throughTitus Ssematimba who headed home Grant Matsiko’s free-kick delivery in the 64th minute for a 4-1 lead.
Four minutes to the stoppage time Sam Ssenyonjo halved the deficit after finding the back of the net but that was not enough as Arua Hill SC held on to beat Wakiso Gaints FC 4-2.
Victory saw Arua Hill SC moved to the 5th place of the log with 32 points after 19 games while Wakiso Gaints FC remained in the 7th place of the log with 27 points from 19 matches.
Both teams are back in action on Wednesday 9th March as Arua Hill SC visit UPDF FC at Bombo Military Barracks while Wakiso Gaints FC host Mbarara City FC at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium
