
Busoga United Stun SC Villa To Move Closure To Safety
Busoga United Football Club stunned Sports Club Villa 1-0 during their StarTimes Uganda Premier League encounter played at FUFA Technical Center Thursday afternoon.
Anwar Ntege’s lone goal was all enough to hand Busoga United the much-needed win that eventually lifts them above their opponents.
The visitors started on high note with Mayanja Anthony, Tibiita Laban and Anwar Ntege all failing to break the deadlock for Busoga United.
Travis Mutyaba missed to put the hosts ahead after his shot was saved by Busoga United’s custodian Andrew Ssekandi in the 36 minutes.
The score was goalless draw in the first stanza.

The second half saw Anwar Ntege put the visitors ahead with a brilliant header in the 59 minutes as Busoga United held on to beat SC Villa.
Victory means Busoga United leapfrogged Villa in the 11th place of the log with 20 points just 2 points above the Jogoos who are in the 12th place of the log with 18 points from 19 matches.
Mbarara City FC 0-0 URA FC:
Elsewhere Mbarara City FC and Uganda Revenue Authority Football Club shared spoils after playing to a goalless draw at Kakyeka Stadium on Thursday evening.
The draw means URA FC remained in the 3rd place of the log with 35 points after 19 games while Mbarara City FC are rooted in the 3rd place from the bottom of the log with 17 points from 19 matches.
