Wakiso Giants Go Fourth After 2-0 Win Over Bright Stars
Wakiso Giants Football Club recorded their seventh win this campaign after a convincing 2-0 victory over Bright Stars in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League encounter played at Kavuma Recreational Center on Tuesday evening.
Frank Ssebuufu and Kimbowa sheen scored in either half of the encounter to condemn Bright Stars to their third defeat of the season.
The Purple Sharks were the better side and got the opener in the 41st minute when Frank headed home Lawrence Bukenya’s delivery for 1-0 in the first half.
Kimbowa Sheen made it 2-0 in the 63 minutes with a cool finish as Wakiso Giants held on to register maximum points away from home.
Victory lifts Wakiso Giants in the fourth position of the log standing with 24 points after 13 games while Bright Stars are in the 8th place on 17 points from 12 games.
Bright Stars are back in action on Saturday 14th December away to Arua Hill SC at Barifa Stadium in Arua City while Wakiso Giants are back in action on Tuesday 20th December as they also host the same opponent (Arua Hill SC) at Kabaka Kyabaggu stadium.
