Vipers Sports Club have announced that they have parted ways with head coach Roberto Oliviera alias Robertinho.
This development was announced on Wednesday via the club’s official website.
A club statement reads: “Vipers Sports Club announces that Mr. Roberto Oliveira alias Robertinho has left his role as the head coach with immediate effect.”
“The club would like to thank Robertinho for his tireless efforts as the head coach during his time at the club and wish him success in the future.”
“The Club shall in the shortest time possible come out with a statement on the technical bench leadership following the coach’s departure.”
Having joined the Venoms in August 2021 after replacing Fred Kajoba, Oliviera led Vipers SC to the 2021 Startimes Uganda Premier League titles, First CAF CL Group stages and also the finals of the 2021/22 Stanbic Uganda Cup.
Despite leading the Venoms to their first ever CAF Champions League group stages, the Brazilian tactician has been shown the exit door just few days after the conclusion of the first round of the 2022/23 SUPL season.
He leaves Vipers SC in the 3rd position of the log standings on 27 points just two points adrift log leaders KCCA FC who are on 29 points after the end of the first leg of 2022/23 SUPL campaign.
