
Calvary Crush Adjumani TC To Claim Bragging Rights In West Nile Derby
Calvary Football Club claimed the bragging rights in West Nile derby after crushing Adjumani Town Council 3-1 in the StarTimes FUFA Big League encounter played at Midigo Primary School playe ground on Thursday evening.
First-half goals from Kilema Dickson, Oting Eric and Owiny Ronald Ogenga handed the Horizon Stars their fourth win this season while Adjumani TC succumed to their 5th defeat this campaign.
The Horizon Stars got the clash off to a bright start and quickly grabbed two early goal leads when Kilema Dickson and Oting Eric scored for them in the 1st and 5th minutes respectiveley.
Before Owiny Ronald Ogenga sealed the victory in the 31st minute to hand Calvary FC a 3-0 lead in the first stanza.
Adjumani Town Council got late consolation but that was not enough as the Cocks suffer 3-1 defeat at the hands of rivals Calvary FC.
The result lifts Calvary FC to the 5th position in the log standings on 15 points after 10 matches while Adjumani TC dropped to the 12 place of the log with 11 points from 10 games.
Both teams are back in action on Thursday 22nd December when Calvary FC visit Kaaro Karungi at St George’s Arena in Ibanda while Adjumani TC host Police FC at Paridi Stadium in Adjumani.
