
Onduparaka’s Woes Deepen With Draw At Blacks Power
Onduparaka FC could find no respite from their StarTimes Uganda Premier League woes after returning home as they suffered another draw after playing 1-1 against Blacks Power at Akibua stadium in Lira City.
Micheal Siwu opened the lead for Blacks Power in the first-half but his effort was cancelled out by Abonga Dominic as both sides settled for a share of spoils.
The host went ahead in the 24th minute through Siwu Micheal who converted from a penalty kick.
The Caterpillars had an opportunity to level up in the 30th minute but Abonga Dominic’s effort went wide.
Baden Mujahid could have doubled the lead for Blacks Power but his shot was well saved by Onduparaka’s custodian Mathias Muwanga as Blacks Power took a 1-0 lead in the first-half.
After the break the visitors got an equalizer through Abonga Dominic who found the back of the net in the 52nd minutes.
The two teams pressed harder in search of a winner but couldn’t find the back of the net as they had to settle for a 1-1 draw at the full-time.
The draw means Blacks Power remain in the 3rd place from the bottom of the log standings on 10 points from 13 games while Onduparaka FC are dwelling at the bottom of the log on 4 points from 13 games.
Both teams are back in action on Wednesday 21st December as Blacks Power visit Express Football Club at Wankulukuku stadium while Onduparaka FC host UPDF FC at AbaBet Greenlight stadium in Arua City.
