SUPL WRAP: West Nile’s Duo Of Arua Hill & Onduparaka Suffer Back-To-Back Defeats As Blacks Power Secure First Win
The StarTimes Uganda Premier League continued with a hat-trick of matches on Tuesday evening headlined by the first win of the 2022-23 season for Blacks Power and back-to-back defeats for West Nile’s duo of Arua Hill and Onduparaka FC
Vipers SC 1-0 Arua Hill SC:
Arua Hill Sports Club suffered their second defeaat of the season after they were stunned 1-0 by Vipers Sports Club at St Mary’s stadium.
Milto Karisa scored the only goal of the clash just 19 minutes from kickoff as Vipers SC recorded their third win of the season in an encounter that saw Ashraf Mandella rushed to hospital following a head collusion.
Victory elevates the Venoms to the 5th place of the log with 11 points from 6 matches just one point above the Leopards who are in the 7th position with 10 points from 6 games.
Vipers SC are back in action on Friday 18th November as they host UPDF FC at St Mary’s stadium while Arua Hill SC host SC Villa at Barfia stadium the next day in their next encounter.
Bright Stars FC 2-1 Onduparaka FC:
A goal in each half from Innocent Kitimbi and Nelson Senkatuka helped Bright Stars to a 2-1 win over Onduparaka Football Club at Kavuma Recreational Center.
Dominic Abonga scored a consolation goal for the Caterpillars as they suffered their fourth defeat of the season.
The ressult lifts Bright Stars to the 11th position of the log standings with 8 points from 8 matches while Onduparaka FC remain at the foot of the table with one point from six games.
Bright Stars are back in action on Tuesday 22nd November away to Express FC at Wankulukuku stadium while Onduparaka FC host Wakiso Giants at Bombo Military play ground the next day in their next encounter.
Maroons FC 1-3 Blacks Power FC:
First half goals from Okwir Dickson, Mike Siwu (P) and Simon Peter Otto handed Blacks Power their first win of the season as they defeated Maroons FC 3-1 at Luzira Maximup Prison Grounds.
Solomon Walusimbis scored a consolation goal for Maroons as they were condemned to their third defeat of the season.
Victory means Blacks Power remain in the 2nd place from the bottom of the log with 5 points from 8 matches while Maroons are in the 10th place with 8 points after 7 matches.
Maroons FC are back in action on Tuesday 22nd November as they visit UPDF FC in Bombo while Blacks Power next host the same team UPDF FC on Tuesday 29th November at Akibua stadium.
