29 year old Ugandan Joseph Bonnane slayed after firing Ehiopian Shida Awal in Africa’s biggest Mixed Martial Arts Showdown at the Serena Hotel,Kampala Uganda last Saturday.
In an action packed live premium show,Bonnane nicknamed Busungu in the bantam weight bout closed in with three rounds of non stop action to clinch victory by unanimous decision.

South Africa’s Raymond Acutt outclassed Uganda’s Henry Kirangwa while Umaru Kasozi beat Peter Njuguna in the light heavyweight by unanimous decision
Uganda’s Lawrence Mukiibi was a winner by submission against DR Congo’s Kevin Fashigabo, while Stephen Rackara submitted to Tanzania’s Chris Tibenda.
Other fights saw Issac Omeda knock out fellow Ugandan Justin Okot, Rodgers Manana was a winner by submission against Danish Okello, Hussein Gitta beat Denis Okeny and Dickens Ogwang knocked out Ibrahim Abdalla.
