
Onduparaka Reward Longest-Serving Player With A New Deal
Having extended the contracts of Gadafi Gadinho and Davis Mayanja on Wednesday and Thursday respectively, WestNile jumbos Onduparaka Football Club have confirmed a new contract for one of thier senior player ahead of the new season.
Senior player Adriko Gasper Alex aka the Rock will continue to play for the Caterpillars after signing new deal with the club.
Gasper, who was one of the founding pillars with the team has been rewarded a two-year contract extension and will go down into history as the longest serving player having spent 12 seasons with the Caterpillars that started in 2011 when the club was formed as a community club.
His new deal will keep him at Ababet Greenlight staduim until 2024 the club announced on Friday 9-September-2022.
“Adriko Gasper Alex a.k.a The Rock has extended his contract with us for two more years until end of 2023/2024,” Reads Club Statement on Twitter.
“He’s one of the longest serving players at the club since promotion to the top tier.”
In a bid to prepare their squad for the upcoming season, The Caterpillars have already annouced Haruna Mawa as their new head coach who will be deputized by Hamza Kalanzi.
The Caterpillars will begin their 2022/23 camaign away to Uganda Revenue Authority Football Club on Saturday 1st September 2022 at Nakisunga play grounds.
