
Kimera: Express FC Seal Signing Of Expierenced Goalkeeper From Police FC
Express Football Club have bolstered thier squad by capturing the signature of custodian Abdul Kimera ahead of the new campaign.
Kimera joins the Red Eagles from relegated Uganda Police Football Club and will don shirt number 28.
The goalkeeper has inked a two-year employment contract that will see him through at Wankulukuku stadium until 2024.
The club has confirmed the arrival of the shot-stopper on their official website by stating: “Experienced goalkeeper Abdul Kimera has joined the club on a two year contract.”
“The former Police FC player comes at a time when the club is working to strengthening it’s options in goal after the departure of Kusiima Cryspus at the end of his contract.”
On signig for the Red Eagles Kimera stated: “I am happy to be joining a big club like Express FC, I hope to match up to the club’s big name and depending on the players and coaches I have seen at the club I hope to elevate my career to the next level.”
Head Coach James Odoch added: “I like Kimera, he is disciplined and experienced him joining the goalkeeping department will be fruitful especially the young players learning from him.”
Kimera has previously featured for BUL FC, Kitara United and most recently Police FC.
He joins Derrick Ngoobi, Yusuf Ssozi, Farouk Katongole, Allan Kayiwa and Hussein Ssenoga among other new signings at the club.
