Asante Kotoko Sign Uganda Cranes Striker
Ghana Premier League champions, Asante Kotoko have officially announced the signing of Uganda Cranes striker Steven Mukwala Dese ahead of the coming 2022/23 season.
Mukwala joins the Porcupine Warriors from Uganda Revenue Authority Football Club (URA FC) where he netted 13 goals in 26 matches last season.
The 23-year-old has inked a two-year employment contract with the the club with an option to extend by a year, the club has confirmed on Wednesday.
“Welcome 𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗡 𝗠𝗨𝗞𝗪𝗔𝗟𝗔 @Mukwala9. The Ugandan joins us on a free transfer for a period of two years with an option to extend for a further year,” reads club statement.
Mukwala turns into membership the second signing for Asante Kotoko after the arrival goalkepeer Frederick Ase.
Asante Kotoko will symbolize Ghana in the 2022/23 CAF Champions League after winning the 2021-22 Ghana Premier League trophy with 67 points after 34 games.
