
Maroons Bolster Squad With Striker And Center Back
Newly promoted StarTimes Uganda Premier League outfit Maroons Football Club have bolstered their squad with signings of two players in striker Samson Kigozi and center back Jakob Okao.
Kigozi joins the Mbili Mbili from Kampala City Council Authority Football Club ahead of the coming season.
The 24 year-old has previously played for Police FC, Kakira TC and most recently KCCA FC.
Meanwhile Okao joins Senfuma Muhammed’s guns from StarTimes Uganda Premier League Champions Vipers Sports Club.
The 21-year-old rose through the ranks of Maroons Sports Academy before joining Vipers Junior Team and consequently graduating into the senior team where he enjoyed a prestigious career as he was crowned a UPL champion twice at Vipers SC.
Both players have signed on two-year employment contracts.
Ceasar Sahni Olega, Felix Keita Okot and Emmanuel Akol are some of the players that have officially extended their contracts for further more years with the Club.
Kigozi and Okao join Arafat Kakonge and Noel Nasasira among Maroons’ signings for the 2022-23 campaign.
