FUFA BIG MD20 WRAP: BLACKS POWER, MAROONS & KYETUME PROMOTED TO UPL AS PROLINE GOT RELEGATED FOLLOWING NDEJJE’S WIN OVER KITARA
The 2021/22 StarTimes FUFA Big League season were completed on Thursday evening with Kyetume FC joining Maroons FC and Blacks Power in winning promotion to the 2022/23 StarTimes Uganda Premier League season.
Proline FC joined Nyamityobora FC and Malaba Youth Development Associations Football Club (MYDA FC) as the third club to be relegated to the regional league.

Blacks Power 2-1 Luweero United:
Blacks Power FC secured promotion to the UPL after ralling from a goal down to beat Luweero United 2-1 at Akibua Memorial stadium.
Michael Siwu bagged a magical brace from a penalty and a free-kick respectively as Vialli Bianomugisha’s guns were crowned champions of the 2021/22 FUFA Big League season and eventually got promoted to the top-tier league after completing the season at the top of the log with 39 points from 20 matches.
Brian Kone opened the lead for Luweero United but that wasn’t enough for the visitors who completed the league in the 4th place from the bottom of the log with 25 points from 20 games
Nyamityobora FC 0-5 Maroons FC:
Maroons FC became the second team to get promoted to the top-tier after thrashing relegated Nyamityobora FC 5-0 at Kakyeka Stadium in Mbarara City.
Fred Amaku, Belmos Opio, Solomon Walusimbi, Hadadi Kambugu and Bbosa Bruno were all in target for the Prisoners as they completed the league in the 2nd place with 38 points from 20 matches.
While relegated Nyamityobora FC completed the season at the bottom of the log with 6 points from 20 games.
Kataka FC 2-3 Kyetume FC:
Kyetume FC bagged the third promotion spot following their 3-2 win over Kataka FC in a rowdy and ungly scenes played at Mbale Municipal Stadium.
First-half goals from Ezra Bida, Ezra Kaye and Sharif Ssaka handed the Slaughters the much needed win as they completed the season in the 3rd place with 37 points from 20 games.
While Francis Odongo and Emmanuel Mukisa scored consolation goals for Kataka FC who dropped to the 4th place of the log with 36 points from 20 matches and will have to wait for another season if they’re to get promoted to the top-tier league.
Ndejje University 5-0 Kitara FC:
Ndejje University survived being relegated from the FUFA Big League as they thrashed Kitara FC 5-0 at Arena of Visions in Ndejje.
Hamim Semakula, Abdulkarim Kasule, and Nicholas Luzige opened the damages in the first-half before substitutes Reagan Mpande and Brain Obedi completed the humiliations in second-half to hand Ndejje University the 7th place of the log with 26 points from 20 games.
Kitara FC meanwhile finished in the 6th place of the log with 27 points from 20 matches.
Calvary FC vs MYDA FC:
Lastly the game between Calvary FC and MYDA FC wasn’t played as relegated MYDA FC failed to their final fixture that was slated to be played at Ababet GreenLight Stadium handing the Horizon Stars the 5th place of the log with 29 points from 19 games while the Flying Eagles completed the season in the 2nd place from the bottom of the log with 11 points from 19 matches.
