Vipers 3-0 SC Villa: Venoms Rise To The Top Of SUPL Log
Vipers Sports Club moved into the top of the log in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League after defeating Sports Club Villa 3-0 at St Mary’s Stadium in Entebbe.
A first half goal from Yunus Sentamu and second half brace from Ceasor Manzoki handed Vipers SC their 10th win of the season.
The Venoms started a better side with Sentamu tapping home Milton Karisa’s delivery for a 1-0 lead just 6 minutes from the clock.
Bright Anukani could have doubled the lead for Vipers but his effort went over the bar as Vipers took a 1-0 lead in the first stanza.
After the break Ceasor Manzoki doubled the lead for the hosts after firing into the bottom right-corner for a 2-0 lead.
Moment later Manzoki completed his own brace and the third for Vipers after heading home Dan Gwaliwango’s free kick for a 3-0 win.
Victory means Vipers SC move to the top of the log with 33 points two above KCCA FC who take on Onduparaka FC on Thursday 4/02/22.
SC Villa meanwhile are rooted in the 11th place of the log with 16 points after 15 games.
Vipers SC are back in action on Monday 7th Feb 2022 as they host Police FC at St Mary’s Stadium while SC Villa face BUL FC at Kyabazinga Stadium on Wednesday 8th Feb 2022 in their next encounter.
