Bright Stars, Maroons Share Spoils In Match Day Two
Soltilo Bright Stars and Maroons Football Club shared spoils during their StarTimes Uganda Premier League match day two encounter played at Kavuma Recreational grounds on Tuesday evening.
The two teams struggled to create any clear opportunities in the opening stage of the first stanza.
However, as the half eroded, the hosts appeared the more dangerous side, and came close to opening the lead through Kyeyune but their former custodian Simon Tamale stood tall in between his sticks to deny his effort.
The encounter went into the break with the scoreline goalless as neither teams failed to find the back of the net.
After the restart substitute Frank Kizanyiro who was making his debut for Bright Stars came close to breaking the deadlock but his effort went wide.
Substitute Noel Nasasira could have put Maroons ahead but failed to clear connect with Fred Amaku’s delivery.
The draw is Bright Stars’ second in a row leaving them in the 5th place of the log with two points after two games. Meanwhile Maroons FC temporarily moved to top of the summit with four points after two games.
