
10-Man Express Complete Double Over Eastern Giants BUL FC
Ten man Express Football Club completed a league double over BUL Football Club with a 2-1 win in a league game played at FUFA Technical Center on Saturday afternoon.
First half goals from Boban Zirintuusa and Anwar Ntege were enough to hand the Red Eagles their sixth win this campaign.
The Red Eagles were reduced to a man down when Anwar Ntege received his marching orders in the 59 minutes.
Goalkeeper Abdul Kimera scored in his own net for a consolation goal for BUL FC who were condemned to their seventh defeat this season.
The visitors started the better side and got the opener through Boban Zirintuusa who headed home Allan Kayiwa’s corner kick just 11 minutes from kickoff.
Samuel Ssekamatte could have leveled matters for the host but his header was well saved by custodian Abdul Kimera.
Before Anwar Ntege doubled the lead for the Red Eagles in the 34th minute from Arthur Kiggundu’s free kick to hand Express a 2-0 lead in the first half.

After the break Express Fc were reduced to 10 men when Anwar Ntege received his marching orders for a bookable offense in the 59 minutes.
BUL FC pulled one back through Andul Kimera who found the back of his net off Ayiko’s corner kick in the 90+3 minutes as Express Fc held on for 2-1 win.
Victory elevates Express FC to the 10th place on the log with 25 points after 20 matches while BUL temporarily remained in the 3rd place on 30 points from 21 games.
BUL FC are back in action on Wednesday 12 April when the visit Police FC at Kavuma Recreation Center in the quarter finals of Stanbic Uganda Cup before facing Busoga United in the League action on Friday 21 April at Kakindu Municipal stadium.
Express on the other hand will host the same team Busoga United at Wankuluku on 18th April in their next league encounter before traveling to Adjumani on 21st April to face Adjumani Town Council FC at Paridi stadium in the quarter finals of Stanbic Uganda Cup.
