BUL FC Hand Versatile Defender A New Three-Year Deal
BUL Football Club defender Hillary Onek has signed a new three-year employment contract that will keep him with the Eastern Giants until 2027, the Premier League club said on Saturday.
The 21-year-old versatile defender joined the senior team in 2001 as a graduate from the club’s junior team.
This development was announced on 1st July 2023 via the club’s official website.
“BUL FC is delighted to announce that Hillary Onek has signed a 3 years contract extension with the Eastern Giants which will keep him at the club until 2027,” reads club statement.
Speaking about this Onek said: ” l am excited to extend my stay here, I came here as a kid and BUL has made me the player I am today.”
“We have shared some fantastic moments over the past years, and I have grown so much in every sense of the word and my passion for this team has been on an upward trajectory since the day I joined.”
“I can assure you that I will commit myself to helping this club to achieve our goals and make the fans proud of this great team,” he added.
“BUL is my home, and a home sweet home that I feel proud of being part.“
“It’s now time for the hard work to continue and I am looking forward to returning to training and the new season ahead,” he concluded.
Onek was part of BUL FC junior team that won the 2018/19 FUFA Junior League after defeating KCCA FC in the finals at Njeru.
He was also part of BUL FC’s senior team that won the 2021/2022 Stanbic Uganda Cup after edging out Vipers SC in the finals.
Ahead of the coming season, BUL FC will be under the stewardship of Abbey Bogere Kikomeko while striker Gerald Ogweti is the club’s first signing of the season.
