Bujumbura United striker takes charge of first round: Kitara Region League.
After guiding Booma Fc to FUFA Big League last season, striker Kambale Adrine is on another mission of spear heading another club to 2nd division in Bujumbura United from Hoima City.
Kambale joined the Kibanjwa Lions at the start of the season from Booma Fc after the expiry of his employment contract and opted to exit.
Since his arrival at Bujumbura United, Kambale Adrine has lived to expectations by scoring goals where his team wanted them.
By the end of the Kitara region League (Albert Group), Kambale had 10 goals from 12 matches.
Of the ten goals, Kambale managed four braces coming against Kiryandongo United, Bweyale United, Buhimba Saints United and Busesa United then three singles against Blue Star Mugarana Fc, Bugoigo Leopards Fc and Blue Star Buhuka Fc.
Apart from scoring scoring Kambale also managed five assists against Busesa United, Bugoigo Leopards Fc and two against Kiryandongo United.
Kambale’s main target this season is to emerge as the league top scorer and guide his side to FUFA Big League come next season.
Bujumbura United finished as table leaders at the end of first round with 27 points after 12 matches. They won 8, drawn 3, lost 1 scoring 33 goals and conceding 12 in the process.
The second round will kick start in two weeks time.
It should be remembered that at rhe of the season the Kitara region League Albert Group table leader will face off with the Edward group toper in a one legged encounter.
The winner then play the Western region winner in a home and away basis where the winner qualifies to FUFA Big League.
