ARUA HILL’S MISERY CONTINUES AFTER 3-1 DEFEAT TO MAROONS FC IN ADJUMANI
Arua Hill Sports Club endured another difficult evening in what is shaping up to be a season to forget after they were defeated 3-1 by Maroons FC on Wednesday.
Patrick Biyiga cancelled out Shafi Mansoor’s opener before David Ndihabwe scored against his former pay masters while Isaac Mpagi sealed the victory to hand Maroons FC their 6th win this campaign.
After a good start from the Kongolo Boys who found the back of the net as early as 8 minutes from kickoff through Safi Mansoor, Maroons FC reorganized themselves and turned out to be the better side.
The visitors levelled matters through Patrick Biyiga in the 34 minutes as both sides settled for 1-1 draw in the first stanza.
The second half saw David Ndihabwe extending the lead for Maroons FC after finding the back of the net against his former pay masters in the 63 minutes.
Before Isaac Mpagi opened his goal scoring account for Maroons FC to hand the visitors a 3-1 win win over the Kongolo Boys.
Victory lifts Maroons FC to the 4th position in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League log standings with 22 points from 12 games while Arua Hill SC remain rooted at the bottom of the log on 5 points after 12 games.
Arua Hill SC are back in action on Thursday 28 December as they visit Kitara FC at Masindi stadium while Maroons FC hosts Gaddafi FC at Luzira Maximum Prison Grounds on Saturday 30 December in their next encounter.
Elsewhere Mbarara City and Kitara FC couldn’t be separated as they settled for a share of spoils in a 0-0 draw at Kakyeka Stadium on Wednesday evening.
The draw leaves Kitara FC in the 3rd place in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League log standings with 23 points from 12 matches while Mbarara City FC are in the 9th place with 13 points from 12 games.
Kitara FC are back in action on Thursday 28 December as they host Arua Hill SC while Mbarara City visit URA FC at Mehta stadium the next day in their next encounter.
