Oscar Mawa Included In Uganda U-18 Preliminary Squad For CECAFA U-18 Tournament
Uganda U-18 head coach Morley Byekwaso has announced his provisional squad for the upcoming squad for the upcoming CECAFA U-18 tournament.
The squad comprises of 32 players with 4 Goalkeepers, 10 Defenders, 8 Midfielders and 10 Strikers.
Budding youngster Oscar Mawa Senke who plays for Lucera Calcio in Italy has been included in the squad along with John Paul Dembe (Bk Hacken, Sweden) and Travis Mutyaba (Dinamo Tbilisi, Georgia.
The 2023 CECAFA U-18 Boys Championship is slated to take place from November 25 to December 9 in Kenya.
UGANDA U-18 PRELIMINARY SQUAD FOR CECAFA U-18 TOURNAMENT:
GOALKEEPERS: Abdu Magada (Gaddafi FC), Siraje Bieven Etuta (Vipers SC JT), Aziz Saleh (BUL FC JT) and Darren Aine (St Mary’s College Kisubi).
DEFENDERS: Louis Anguti Amagu (Lugazi FC), Hafidhu Ssonko Ssembatya (Prosper SA), Derek Luzinda (Queens Park Rangers, England), Hakim Wandera (Prosper SA), Peter Abalirya (Kibuli SS), Simon Mukisa (SC Villa), Julius Barasa (BUL FC), Stephen Namaisi (Kataka FC), Steven Mugisha (Prosper SA) and Yasin Masambo (BUL FC JT).
MIDFIELDERS: Frank Katongole (Vipers SC), John Innocent Kisolo (St. Henrys College-Kitovu), Travis Mutyaba (Dinamo Tbilisi, Georgia), Hakim Mutebi (SC Villa), Swabir Mpasa (BUL FC JT), Patrick Like (Gaddafi FC), George Masembe (Simba FC) and Elvis Ssekajuko (Royal Giant High School).
