Elvis Ngonde: SC Villa Complete Signing Of Versatile Midfielder
StarTimes Uganda Premier League record holders Sports Club Villa have completed the signing of versatile midfielder Elvis Ngonde ahead of the forthcoming campaign.
The emerging midfielder, who is comfortable as a 10, 8 and 6 joins the Jogoos as a free agent from Gaddafi Football Club.
Ngonde has inked a three-year employment contract that will keep him at the club until 2026, SC Villa confirmed on Monday.
“Midfielder Elvis Ngonde has joined the Jogoos on a three year contract as a free agent from Gaddafi fc,” reads club statement.
Speaking during his unveiling, Ngonde told the club’s official website: “I am happy joining the Jogoos for the next three years. I’ve been welcomed by everyone at the team and settled in well.”
“SC Villa is a club that bases it’s roots on history and I can only perform to my best to be part of it(History). I just can’t wait to see my self putting on the Jogoo jersey when the season begins.”
The youngster started his career from Busoga junior team before earning a promotion to the senior team in 2021 Later joining Gadaffi FC for a year upto the end of 2022/23/season.
A product of St Mary’s Boarding Secondary Kitende (SMASK), Ngonde also represented the Uganda Cubs (National Boys U17).
In the on going transfer windows, SC Villa have already captured the services of Peter Onzima, Diego Hamis Ssemugera, Simon Mukisa, Gavin Kizito,Abas Kyeyune, Denis Ojara, Charles Lwanga, Hakim Kiwanuka, Braddy Jeans Wokorach, Angufindru Norman among others.
The Jogoos will begin their league campaign on Friday September 15th when they host newly promoted Kitara FC at Muteesa II Stadium in Wankulukuku.
